Gates Pass home > action info > Public hearings
Many times we need numbers more than speakers when an issue is up for a major vote. When people turn out, it shows we are serious about an issue and that individuals are willing to take the time and effort to show up. The board may ask people to stand for a head count on an issue. It's important to have a large number of supporters present!
Board meetings can be long. Wear comfortable, but appropriate clothes. Don't chat in the hearing room when the board is in session. Bring something to read while we wait for our issue to come up on the agenda. Thanks for taking the time to come.
Sign up on the speakers' sheet when you arrive.

Chairman (name), members of the board. I am representing the Gates Pass Area Neighborhood Association. Our association (supports/opposes) ...........
